AKC Rhodesian Ridgebacks Ethically Bred and Raised in our Home. Therapy and Show Dogs raised with Children.

After 36 years in Ridgebacks we have decided to end our Breeding Program. This came with from a great deal of thought ad was certainly a difficult decision.  Health issues would limit our being able to continue the training we deem necessary to maintain our Gold Standard.

Our Website will remain available for a minimum of 2 years as an educational tool. We will remain available to for Evaluations, Consultations and Assistance in all things Ridgeback. We offer specialized Home Style boarding and Owner training in Basic Obedience. We also Provide classes in Handling  and Introductions to Dog Showing, Lure Coursing and Therapy Work. If you can not find the answers you need on this website, please feel free to call us, 251-978-0710.

It has been an Honor to be a part of this Breed.

For those hoping to purchase a Ridgeback....

Please check out the Breeder list at , (Rhodesian Ridgebacks of the United States) where every Breeder listed is a member of the National Club and held to a far higher standard than the hobby and back yard breeders. Back yard Breeders especially pop up when they smell the possibility of making money.

The American Kennel Club, ( Also has a Breeder list. One caveat, AKC listings are geared for all breeds, not exclusively Rhodesian Ridgebacks. The requirements to purchase a Breeder advert is less intense but does make AKC registration mandatory. (You might see newspaper or online ads offering CKC and other Registry pups for sell.  We do NOT recommend them for reasons explained further into our website.)

We also strongly suggest you consider a Rescue. Our Rhodesian Rescue group is one of the best Breed Rescues in the country.  Every dog is carefully vetted and evaluated by experienced Ridgebackers before being available for placement. This radically reduces the possibility of adopting a dog with special needs or temperament issues. ( Back Yard Breeders or First Owner neglect and damaged). Sadly found all over the country.  While that may sound daunting please know it's very possible to find dogs of all ages, from pups to seniors. Some of the best dogs in the country end up in Rescue through no fault of their own.

Be forewarned, as with our own Kennel,  Rescue has a very high standard for applicants.
